The "Bal Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana" (BVPY) is a program that was started by Young scientists welfare foundation long back but has been remodeled in 2020 to suit varying needs of students in this digital era. The program is supported by alumni of eminent national and international colleges (MIT, IITs, Stanford, AIIMS, NITs, DU, JNU to name a few) with a desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students living outside metros in India. The primary aim of the program is to identify and encourage talented and motivated students to pursue career in research which currently are constrained by either lack of financial means or right career direction.
